A fixed mindset in my experience is held by someone that believes nothing can be changed, nothing can be fixed and they struggle to see a way forward with what they are doing, be it a personal life challenge or something in their career or work life.
A Growth mindset conversely is held by people that believe they are capable of improving their life or situation. This is someone that is able to create a process and learnings around improvement. A common characteristic is an acceptance of NEW ways to move forward.
